AAPL entered a Bearish trend

How to view the entire chart:

1. Try clicking on the name of the most recent article in the column on the right. This will remove the "Archives" list.
2. Try right click on the chart itself and open it on a separate window.

I am sorry that I cannot always make the chart small enough to fit neatly on the left column. I want you to be able to see the details I want to point out.

I Hope this helps,

Juan

This is the long term count on AAPL.

My Favorite count on AAPL, starting at the lows of Jan 1998 is a double three. In practical terms, this is a series of 3 waves with 3 waves components. In other words, a series labelled XYZ. These X, Y and Z waves are composed of ABC patterns. Currently, AAPL has concluded the third wave of this series, wave Y

The main feature of a D3 is that wave X approaches, but does not exceed the begining of the pattern. As you can see, in 2003, AAPL approached the bottom of 1998, before bouncing up. Only the FLAT pattern is similar. The Flat pattern is an ABC pattern, and "C" would be an impulse (1-2-3-4-5 series). If this alternative count is corretc, then AAPL reached the top of wave III, and wave IV is in progress. Wave 4 should be a sideways correction with a final rally to a new high thereafter.

In the short term, we could still have a bounce back to the high. A double top would be the last indication that AAPL is about to go down strongly. I will keep you updated. IF there is a bounce, consider exiting any bullish positions.

I suspect that you will get your second chance, as the stock bounces back.

I believe that AAPL is doing a impules wave 1, a countertrend wave 2 may be forthcoming.

Juan,
I posted this under at the Jan 25 "AAPL E.W. Update" section"

"As predicted by the Elliott wave, AAPL has pulled back to 70 now. It would be of benefit to know how you made your adjustment to the trade at the time when the RET showed that a correction to between 60 to 75 was likely to occur."

HK, sorry for the oversight, I the postings are being made fast and furious, I can hardly keep up!. I did see this, but forgot to reply to it.
It looks to me that AAPL is short-term oversold, and may bounce back a little. My current trade is neutral, but Vega-sensitive. IV is on the rice since earnings, so I don't think I need to change anything at this time. I am set to take advantage of almost any move. Note that I am long APRIL calls. April is next AAPL's earnings, and I expect their value to increase before I have to roll them over. I'll keep you posted on what I do.

Let me know what you think.

Sorry about this Accountholder. This is only for subscribers. I think it is the best software for options, but it does cost money. Just let me know which trade you are interested in and I will post the Quicktime image (or e-mail it to you). This is very, very helpful for those that have the subscription, that is why I we post them, so people can experiment with each other's trades without having to copy each step into their software.

Go through the videoclips I have posted and read the books or (dare I say it) attend the seminars, so you can learn well what we are trying to do. Options are not easy, I have spent the last 3 years of my life trying to make them work consistently. Platinum is an essential part of that experience.

BTW, I am NOT happy with Optionetics in many ways, but Platinum IS one of the things they DO right.
