S&P 500 Elliott wave analysis

How to view the entire chart:

1. Try clicking on the name of the most recent article in the column on the right. This will remove the "Archives" list.
2. Try right click on the chart itself and open it on a separate window.

I am sorry that I cannot always make the chart small enough to fit neatly on the left column. I want you to be able to see the details I want to point out.

I Hope this helps,

Juan

Time to review our RET count on the SPX. There might be some subjective differences between my counts and yours, but I always use high rating. I don't make assumptions about impulse vs. corrective, I just use my own judgment.

The problem with the series that started at the lows of Oct. 2002 is that corrective series are somewhat unpredictable. I can only give you my best interpretation.

The series from the lows of 2002 is a double zigzag. Wave Y, currently in progress should be a zigzag or a double zigzag, starting at the lows of July 2004. The final target is being approached, and should be at around 1400-1500.

Looking at the this Wave Y described above, we see that it is also a double zigzag. This is in keeping with Fractal theory, where the parts have the same pattern and the whole. Wave Y is formed by a WXY series, wave y of that series is in progress. This wave y should be an "abc" series. Let us examine this wave y in more detail below...

The wave y above is formed by ABC, as proposed. Wave B is an irregular flat. If this count is correct, wave C is already in progress and should take wave y to 1300. We will keep on monitoring this sequence.

Juan,

Google has made news here in the UK. **Smiles**

"Google shares fell 15 per cent to $367.77 in after-hours trading on Wall Street, the biggest one-day loss since Google came to market in 2004."

This is where the PCCRC really pays off. I will post a description of my position on GOOG, once the I make modifications, if appropriate.

Juan,

I have just seen your video on GOOG, dated Saturday, January 21, 2006. I am going to put your exact trade up in my account to see the figures. I am sure that they will be impressive. **Smiles**

Well done. It is some encouraging news.

Slightly off topic, but interesting anyway.

"Two former Bank of China managers have been charged in the US with stealing $485m (£272m) and attempting to launder the money through Las Vegas casinos."
