I have exited LXK

How to view the entire chart:

1. Try clicking on the name of the most recent article in the column on the right. This will remove the "Archives" list.
2. Try right click on the chart itself and open it on a separate window.

I am sorry that I cannot always make the chart small enough to fit neatly on the left column. I want you to be able to see the details I want to point out.

I Hope this helps,

Juan

I have closed my PCCRC on LXK. Incredibly, the stock hardly moved, yet I achieved my target of >$3000.

Here is the confirmation from Interactive Brokers:
As you can see the trade was closed in 2 parts, with slightly different prices for the buy backs of shorts.

Correcting for that uneven fill had no impact in the final price. Here is the record from Platinum:

I have entered this modification and it is now in the share folder. If you'd like to have access to my share folder, follow the instructions in my previous article:
Here is the HRL:

This is the trade just before the fill. I have placed an ask for the closing trade at 13.65 for the last 3 days, and today it was filled.

My rational at closing the trade is that I had to decide whether to rollover the trade or not. It seem to me that the rollover would make little sense because the resulting trade could result in little additiona gains. We could follow that as paper trading and see if I was wrong to do this or not. My believe is that the $3000 profit target was met and I am happy with that.

Interestingly, the Aug. options have a higher IV, but I think that this is because earnings is just around the corner, after expiration. I would expect a decline in IV after earnings and I may lose what I had collected so far. I could also have waited until expiration, as Theta would erode my short's value. I have said before that a violent move in the last week could wipe out my Theta gains, so a rollover would have been my only viable alternative.

I am happy with my gains at $3000, and this was already above that. So, why risk good gains?

when you say "... yet I achieved my target of >$3000.", is this part of your trading plan? I went through your LXK posting but did not find any reference to a $3,000 target.

I have mentioned the number before. Keep a number that is OK with you. I keep a number $3K OR 30% gain. In this particular case, I felt that the rollover would put my profit at an unnecessary risk.

This is truly a minor point, but it has to do with money management. Use your own judgment.
