In this blog I have published over 300 articles describing my strategies. I also have created fully detailed DVD's. One of my friends that have gone through the material in the DVD's and proposed this trade only a few days ago:
Please click on image to enlarge it:

In this trade entered in Oct. 12th, the risk is $1030, appropriate for a $52,000 account, or 2% of the capital is at risk. However, about 10% of the capital of you account is tight up in this trade. At first glance, the position looks bullish, but wait... Look at what happened as the stock went down slightly over $10 points today:

Notice how the risk has actually decreased and the profit is now about 70% of the original capital at risk... How is this possible?
All the information you'd require is in this blog. Article after article explaining in detail my strategies. I encourage you to take the time to read. I have never found a better approach to trading than this. Since early May, I have increased my account by 62%. It shouldn't surprise you really. What should surprise you is that I have so freely shared this information with you so that you produce similar results. It is true is not easy. My methodology requires quite a bit of knowledge of fundamental and technical analysis, Option's greeks and an overall sense of the Market behavior. Nothing worthwhile is easy. But I can guarantee you that the information here is very useful, even if you decide that the PCCRC is not for you.
I am given you all my "secrets" accumulated during 15 years of investing in the stock market and 12 years of trading options. Although I developed my methods over the last 2 1/2 years (you can see the process of my search if you read the first few articles in this blog).
Why would I do this?
First, I have a vocation for teaching. Second, I started the blog with the hope to get ideas on systems from other advanced trader so I begun to post my strategies more as a means to learn, rather then to teach. Eventually I found my approach as a means to generate good will that could be spread out throughout the world. All I ask is that you pay it forward by doing something truly great for 3 people that cannot do it for themselves.
You can read the archives of this blog. I have published over 300 articles in this blog, most of them having to do with the PCCRC. You can also obtain my DVD collection of 3 disks as follows:
In DVD #1, I open a paper trading account and build a portfolio of long puts and long calls. I demonstrate how to use a basic technical analysis software to locate potential movers based on Elliott wave theory. I teach how to recognize Elliott patterns visually, and using the Refined Elliott Trader software by Elliottician.com. The prospective account is shown real time, without me knowing in advanced how it was going to turn out.
In DVD #2, I have compiled all videos previously posted in my blog. These are meant to accompany the articles published over the years. I just wanted to removed the old videos from my ISP server to reduce costs. This is a bonus, really.
In DVD #3, I open another paper trading account and fill it with candidates from my various PCCRC strategies. I explain in much detail exactly what I know and do. All of it.
For the price of $100 payable by Paypal to my e-mail account (paperprofit1@gmail.com), you will receive the three DVD’s in the mail.
But wait, there is more. For no additional cost, you’ll be part of the “Stock of the Day” club and have access to my private blog. In it, you’ll be have access to more video clips. A minimum of two video clips per week may be easily downloaded and viewable in your computer. In the videos I will continue to demonstrate the PCCRC techniques and Elliott wave theory and techniques. You’d be able to ask questions and discuss the videos with me and other traders as well.
If you already received the DVD’s in the past, you had already a trial period of access to my private blog. If you would like to have continued access to the blog, I will request that you send me $50 via Paypal.
Please be assured that these fees go to cover my costs and assured my continued effort. I do not do this for profit. I do it to generate good will in the world. If you use my techniques, you can soon be making a great deal of money. So please join me and my other colleagues. I look forward to having you in my club.
Please don’t forget to pay it forward!!!

Do you need a Optionetics account to scan or can you live with the TOS scan? Telecharts has great scanning abilities as well.
You can certainly locate the 10% gainers with TOS, in fact your scan is real time, so it shows up without you reentering the formulas over and over again.
You cannot locate stocks with the largest % increase over the last 90 days using TOS. I have not tried this with TELECHART, perhaps you can help on this.
Finally, the IV skew can be done using TOS Scan, but only first and second month... This is not exactly what I would recommend. As of today, I would be shorting January options and long April or May. So the TOS scan does not help much.
Even still, you could limit yourself to trading PCCRC's using the Post-earnings strategy. Keep a short-list of high fliers and be ready to enter when IV/SV is low and IV front month > back month and back month IV<40%.
Here is a TC2000 scan that i've created. Its a start. In english its looks for the stocks with an average daily volume of 1 million for the past 90days AND has a closing price above $30 AND price has increased by at least 30% over the last 3 months (63 trading days).
AVGV90 > 10000 AND C > 30 AND (100 * ( C - C63) / C63) > 30
That should work. With that short list you could go to TOS and see which stock has a low IV/SV ration (<1) and IV<40% (back month).
I will add this search to my own Telechart scanings. Thanks for that contribution.
Juan,
Is there an easy way to calculate the Max Risk (as shown in your first screenshot) without the Platinum subscription?
I've played around with TOS and I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong but my risk calculation doesn't seem to work.
In your previous posts (or files) you've mentioned that you usually enter the long portion before selling the front month. Are you talking days or just hours (hours probably don't make a big dent).
please enter ALL of the position as a single trade using ThinkorSwim. You should ask them to show you specifically how to enter the trade. My DVD's show multiple examples on how to do it. Here is quick description:
Go to the Analyze tab
Select "Add simulated Trades"
In the center of the filed, select STRADDLE from the pop up menu.
Open next month's chain. Today, Dec. 19, would be the JAN chain.
Open a back month's chain. I would select April or May now.
You'll see a variety of prices for the straddles. Select the ATM straddle for Jan, hold the control key and click on the BID.
While still hold ing the control key, Select the ATM straddle for April, and click on it TWICE.
This creates the position you want. You may adjust the number of contracts per leg. You now have a DEBIT for the entire position.
Select "Risk Profile". Here you can view the risk graph. At the top of the field, under "Plot lines" there is a pop up menu. Select "+1@expiration". This is the full risk graph at expiration. The green curve will show you the max risk at the current Implied Volatility. IF the IV increases, your risk will decrease. IF the IV decreases your risk will increase. But it gives you a very good estimate. After 3 years of trading PCCRC's I have not lost the max in any one trade. Why? because either Delta, or Vega or even Theta work in your favor most of the time.
Please consider getting my DVD's and joining my private blog. I only charge a token fee to pay for my costs of production and shipment, and the details become so much clearer, I think is worth it.
Jueno, I am not sure why, but the Platinum high fliers returns a much bigger list.
BCSI FSLR JASO STP MOS BIDU SIGM MEE SPWR ANR VIP TRA ONXX CF PBR BMRN MOGN CNX WLT SOHU OSIP SID CHL WFR ISRG MA AG PRGO HES MON WDR MBT LDK FWLT GME COGN PCLN WDC RIMM AAPL POT FMCN NDAQ DE CLF RIO MDR JEC ESRX CRM BTU AGU BG STLD CY IBN USO HOLX PGJ RIG ACI PXP EWZ BEAV LFC DO AIZ FXI SWN UAPH SNDA
Hi Juan,
The list Platinum creates probably uses a 90 trading days where the TC2007 scan uses 63 (which is 3 months...90 trading days is more like 4 1/2 months)
